AULIA
OF TUMKUR
Tumkur
is one of the most reputed places in Karnataka for many Auliyas and their
Dargah shareefs. Some of these Auliyas came from Baghdad shareef and they are
direct descendents of Qutb-ul-Aqtab, Mahboob-e-Subhani, Ghaus-as-Saqalain,
Peeran-e-Peer, Hazrath Shaikh Abdul Qadhir Jeelani Al-Baghdadi (Rizwan allahi
thaalahi alaihim azjmaeen).
In
Tumkur, a few kilometer from railway station, there is a burial ground known as
Jali ka Makan, where you will find famous Dargah shareef of Hazrat Murtuza
Qadri (Rahmatullahi Alaihi), who is the younger son of Hazrath Mo'meen Qadri,
is sitituated. This Dargah claims to bear the most beautiful architectural
structure in entire Tumkur.
In
Kesarmadu, a small village located in a few kilometer distances from Tumkur,
the most famous/sacred Dargah shareef of Hazrath Mo'meen Qadri (Rahmathullahi
Alaihi), his elder son and his wife is located. Hazrath Mo'meen Qadri
(Rahmathullahi Alaihi) is one of direct descendents of Peeran-e-Peer, Hazrath
Shaikh Abdul Qadhir Jeelani Al-Baghdadi (Rizwan allahi Thaalahi alaihim
azjmaeen )
In
addition to the aforementioned Dargah shareef, there is also one more Dargah
shareef which is very famous in Tumkur is of Hazrat Allah Allah Sa'in Auliya
(Rahmathullahi Alaihi).
Nijgal
ke pahad ki dargah is an oldest and attractive spot in Tumkur located in a
place known as Dawouspet on Bangalore-Tumkur highway.
Hazrath
Syed Pacha Shah khadri (RA) . This dargah is below the Nijgal hills.
It
is famous for the Dargah shareef of two Auliyas namely Hazrath Syed Pacha Shah
Qadri (Rahmathullahi Alaihi). This Dargah is located below the Nijgal pahad
(hills).
Hazrath
Syed Kareem Shah Khadri (RA), Nijgal Dargah
And the Dargah shareef of Hazrath Syed
Kareem Shah Qadri (Rahmathullahi Alaihi) – (This is known as Nijgal ke pahad ki
Dargah because the Mazar-e-Mubarak of the Auliya is located inside the hill (gawi)
of nijgal.
They are two brothers and it is said that these Auliyas
have sacrificed their lives for the cause of Islam.
It takes approximately 30 minutes to climb up on the
hill. While scaling up, one can realise that his/her breathing will go high and
pumping of heart will become speeder, which is one of the specialities of this
hill. The people who visit the Dargah can enjoy the tracking of the hill while
walking up to reach the hill. Insha ALLAH, you will experience what I say here,
when you visit this Dargah shareef. The Mazar-e-Mubarak of Hazrath Syed Kareem
Shah Qadri (Rahmathullahi Alaihi) is located inside the hill (gawi) itself
and it appears very marvellous. In order to do perform the Ziyarath, one has to
bend himself in gawi and have to reach the Mazar-e-Mubarak by wobbling like a
baby because the gawi's height itself is about only 3 feet and no one can stand
straight up.
It is quoted by people that Hazrath Syed Kareem Shah
Qadri (Rahmathullahi Alaihi) got Shahadat and came inside the hill where he himself
did his burial ceremony. Moreover, these two Auliyas used to sit in Chilla
(Khalwath) in these hills. As of today, people continue to perform Fateha and
Darood shareefs in this gawi Mubarak, Masha ALLAH. The nijgal ke pahad ki
dargah attracts a large number of people from all walks of life.
